Cheryl Cortez is a Portfolio Manager on the Banc Funds team at 1st & Main Growth Partners and has been with the firm since 2016. She conducts fundamental research and maintains a portfolio of bank depository holdings, primarily based in the Northeast region of the United States.

Prior to 1st & Main, Cheryl was a sell-side equity research analyst, covering small- and mid-cap Consumer, Industrial, and Business Services companies for Deutsche Bank, William Blair, Susquehanna International Group, and Salomon Smith Barney. Previously, she was a valuation consultant for Deloitte Financial Services, and a European Pharmaceuticals sector equity sales specialist for UBS Warburg.

She holds degrees from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business (M.B.A.) and Wellesley College (B.A.).
