As a Banc Funds Portfolio Manager, Jean Riggs is responsible for sourcing new bank investments and monitoring current investments in the southeast region of the country. She brings a wealth of experience to asset quality, corporate governance, audit, and bank regulation.

Prior to joining 1st & Main, Jean worked for 10 years at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, regulating 7th District financial institutions. Her responsibilities included the examination of domestic state member banks and bank holding companies as well as foreign-owned institutions.

She holds degrees from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business (M.B.A.) and the University of Wisconsin (B.A.).
