As a Banc Funds Portfolio Manager, Ronald J. Peterson (“Ron”) follows banking companies located primarily in the central and southwestern United States, generating investment ideas, supporting due diligence efforts, providing support to bank management teams, and modeling financial performance.

Prior to joining 1st & Main, Ron worked as a sell-side equity research analyst covering small- and mid-cap banking companies located predominantly in the central United States. Previously, he was a bank examiner with the Comptroller of the Currency.

He holds a degree from St. Cloud State University (B.S. in Finance) and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
